The Feijoa is a fruit most New Zealanders can identify with. Many of us have a tree growing in our backyards. We unfortunately do not, but today we had the opportunity to collect some from a small farm. The children enjoyed not only the Feijoas, but also getting up close and personal with some calves and to feed some roaming chickens.
Sadie always has the best outfits! Just noticed that you have added me to your community links and just wanted to say thanks as well :)

Feijoas are my favourite this time of year. Have you tried them pureed and served with vanilla ice cream?

Oh my! Feijoas are glorious! I would move across the ocean and live in your lovely land just to get them more readily. In fact I was so upset when I visited some years ago in Spring (wrong season I know) and couldn't find any. Still, thank you for the delicious photos!

oh joy the fejoia's....our current challenge is to think of how many things can you jam a fejoia into!!....hidden under crumbles, substituted for banana in loaf/cake/muffins/pies....I think we are just about fejoia'ed out!! Bring on the freezer bags I say. Hope you doin' great

Oh my word -- I want to live where my children (well, child for now!) can be this close to nature all the time.
SO BEAUTIFUL! Ah!

mmmm feijoas...yum! I made feijoa apple bread with ours. Your daughter looks so cute and old fashioned (that's a compliment) in her lovely dress.

I am SO jealous.
I am an ex-pat kiwi living in Australia and fejoa's cost a fortune from the supermarket, I'm talking $2 or so each when I last saw them.
I loooove them.

Hey to the producer of this blog and photos:
I am currently completing a school project (magazine article) on Feijoas in New Zealand an was wondering if I had permission to use some of these FEIJOA PHOTOS! It would be really appreciated. Thank you very much,
Jordan.
