I haven't posted my thrift finds for months and months. It use to be a regular monthly feature, so I'm keen to start it up again.
I will be posting things that I found a few months back just to catch up, along with my monthly finds (but just the really good stuff)
Vintage wooden farm play set with plastic animals.
I found this at the Martinborough Fair on a stall selling a variety of vintage and retro items. I paid $25 for it, but I love it to bits and the children have had loads of fun with it. It's a neat piece to display too.
Retro plastic pull along horse
50c
Soft floral stuffed rabbit with pretty embroidered butterfly detail
A variety of vintage linens, the horse being my favourite.
Retro harlequin prints
I use to have this exact set on my wall as a child. I don't know what happened to them, I probably grew up and got rid of things I thought were too babyish. I was so excited to see them again and they look lovely in Sadie's room.
Ballet slippers
I've been looking for a pair for Sadie for such a long time and was excited to find a pair that fit her. Photo shoot coming soon.....
Vintage English wool coat and baby bonnet
When I took this up to the counter and lady told me that the person who donated it had had it dried cleaned before they bought it in. So I was a little bemused to pay $5 for it considering it probably cost them more than that to get it cleaned.
Hand smocked dress
It's getting harder to find smocked dresses that fit Sadie these days, so I was thrilled to find this one. Can't wait for the warmer weather so she can wear it.
Handmade pottery bowl with blue glaze
I love crudely made pottery. This piece is so rustic on the outside but has a beautiful blue glaze on the inside. It's taking pride of place in my kitchen.
Handmade quilt made from retro fabrics
This is nice and thick, great for Hugo when he's on the wooden floor boards. Love the doily on the bottom right hand corner.
Wooden hand carved baby rattle
Amazing.
wow, great finds, I especially love the wee coat and hat

Hehehe, I adored poring over these photos, even if I did also feel the slightest twinge of jealousy I didn't come across such treasures myself! The wool coat and embroidered doilies did it for me!

You are a good treasure hunter! I love the farm! While at a friend's yesterday, I acquired a wooden doll's house! Yay! I am going to put it on top of a china cabinet and place my teacups in it! For now.
I think that baby rattle is brilliant! How do you have time for all the things you do? You are amazing!

A wooden dolls house, how wonderful! Love your plan for it too. The
kids love rummaging through the thrift shops too, so its a bit of an
outing for everyone. Jxx

That jacket is just adorable. Very 1950's, "call the midwife"-ish. I look forward to seeing Hugo hit the streets in it.
